She's liked posts on tumblr before when stans were giving her heat and stans were mad about it but got over it. I know she doesn't like anything too foul, it's just petty and unlikable.

I love it how everyone was dragging Taylor yet when Bruno Mars pulls a similar stunt no one cares. I mean, i opened a thread about the Bruno thing and 16 minutes after only one person responded. By this time 30 posts were made in the Taylor thread. Interesting, indeed!

Think about it! Though! For sporting events like boxing, you would have to pay in order to stream the event! This is really no different! Of course, Taylor is protecting her interests and artistry. Who said that you are entitled to have everything for free. It is Taylor's music and she can protect it and distribute it any way she feels fit.
Does she gain from doing this! I think so! Let us assume that she allowed the full-stream! What happens then? Well potential future sales could be lost! If a fan or even someone from the GP happen to watch the live stream or a youtube video over and over again, then they may not go and purchase tickets to see the show. This would be lost sales! In fact, it would devalue her music and tour revenue in the end. So, even for those rabid fans who are concerned for her sales, then she is actually doing them a favor, and I would consider it in their and her best interest.

The thing is not the loss of any ticket sales, the thing is the loss of any deal she could make with a TV channel to broadcast her show in HD. They always go with exclusivity deals, no one is going to produce such an expensive thing for a show that was livestreamed for free months before

I have no problem with them cancelling the stream because of the possible sales loss etc etc
it's just that the whole thing is pretty ****ed up because we're told like 5 hours before her slot
funny how people are condemning her for donating $1989 though. It's almost like they'd rather she donates nothing.

Well! I think that is with most pop stars, now, or the music industry in general. I am talking about Spotify and free streaming in general. I know a few people will disagree with me, but there was a time, when you had to go purchase music to be able to listen to it. Now! it is all there for anyone to listen to for free. So we are all spoiled, but again, who is really paying in the end. Someone has to pay for it, and unfortunately, the fans and people supporting Spotify are going to whine when they realize that they may end up being the ones who have to pay for it in the end. Now, I am not against streaming at all, but someone has to pay for it, whether it is advertisers or the customers. How else, does the equation fit the model.

In her defense, the "Bruno Mars is airing 3 songs off his set" was announced around the same time as Taylor´s. And i bet whatever you want that Bruno was going to pull a Taylor, but after watching yesterday´s mess, they just realized they should know better and decided to stream 3 songs off of it!

I didn't even know about RIR before reading the meltdowns  but she needs to be more careful and in advance with her 'greed' and those tumblr likes sound so petty. I just want to be able to blindly continue liking her as a person.
