A little confused as to what these women do though? What is Heather, Luanns, Ramona's jobs?
I'm under the impression Carole is a writer but for what?
I'm surprised people aren't stanning for Carole, her confessionals in the first few episodes were hilarious, her commentary is great, she is among my favourites I think, along with Bethenny, but Bethenny is a little too agressive with the girls not sure whats up with that she needs to chill a little bit, maybe she's nervous coming back to the show?

Heather designs "shapewear" for fats.
LuAnn is self-styled nobility and a superstar recording artist.
Ramona is a sommelier who thinks a glass of her
toilet wine Ramona Pinot Grigio pairs appropriately with, well, everything.
Carole was a journalist who had a fairly long career producing segments for ABC News. Her husband (an actual prince *glances at LuAnn*) died of cancer and now she writes guide books for widows. She is certainly the most educated of the bunch and is probably the most clever. Unfortunately, she squandered any good will people might have felt towards her when she made her totally uninteresting beef with Aviva a recurring thing through the majority of last season. Aviva came across as a jealous bitch, but she came out ahead in that battle because Carole couldn't/wouldn't drop it. Carole can calim she does not employ a ghostwriter to assist her in some capacity, but I'm inclined I take her million assertions otherwise as confirmation of her getting a little help behind the scenes. The lady doth protest too much.
I like Carole a lot. She's snarky and (with the exception of last season's nonsense with Aviva) fairly reasonable. But she has no story to tell. She's inconsequential to the plot. And with Bethenny (who is fairly snarky and enough of an instigator to actually create compelling drama) back in the fold, it kinda feels like Carole is expendable.
