I agree with the OP's stance, although sometime things have to be said they way they are even if they might come off as PIC. And although many dissenters may be deflecting, the bad rep many SJW get comes from the "You're and idiot, and I'm right" approach many of them use, not necessarily because of the message.
I do find the 'cultural appropriation' claims to be the most annoying and try-hard of the bunch. Not because it cannot be legitimate, but because most times it doesn't further any humane interest, I mean what humane interests are there on attacking people for using burqas, bonnets or kimonos?
