I love SJW and they're important. We don't live in a safe time anymore especially in Europe. Just look at all the propaganda under every damn comment section on all of our news sites. We live in a (western) world where the countries are divided in two kind of communities. Those who seek for equality and those who want to destroy it for their religion and their "values".

Every minority group needs to stand up against this injustice. Enough is enough. Of course ATRL is just a site for some pop stans but many of the users here are either gay or black or both and some of them have gone through discrimination or are currently going through it. They need a place to talk about it.

I agree with the OP's stance, although sometime things have to be said they way they are even if they might come off as PIC. And although many dissenters may be deflecting, the bad rep many SJW get comes from the "You're and idiot, and I'm right" approach many of them use, not necessarily because of the message.

I do find the 'cultural appropriation' claims to be the most annoying and try-hard of the bunch. Not because it cannot be legitimate, but because most times it doesn't further any humane interest, I mean what humane interests are there on attacking people for using burqas, bonnets or kimonos?

i think sometimes it is, and sometimes it's not. sometimes people use it to mean anyone who's expressing a liberal point of view, and i think that's just them trying to brush off the other person as crazy or something. but i think some people legitimately are the "SJW" type and are being irrational, so i don't think it's always invalid to say that. and i think if someone really is being completely irrational then there's no point in arguing with them, so i understand why that might just be people giving up on serious conversation. so i guess it really is them not carrying on a conversation, but i think sometimes it's justified
