I know this is going to sound arrogant, but I just don’t think the other stanbases know how spoiled the Hive is, and how us being critical isn’t because we are hating on other artists, but because our standards for live performances, music videos (with a taste level), etc. are so high because Beyoncé consistently serves quality, and the GP and critics alike know. It’s not just the fans who are saying it. It’s a lot of people.
It’s kind of like blaming the Navy for caring about #1 hits. Their fave has 13. They are spoiled that way. It should be no surprise that they have high standards in that department.

The fact that they think we blindly praise Bey when we drag her ass harder then some of her haters when she's not living up to our standards is hilarious to me.
They can feel how they want, it won't change the fact that Bey is regarded as highly as she is because people actually expect quality and excellence from her whereas the other girls will constantly get a pass for serving mediocrity because that is what the world is use to getting from them. This is why they think Bey is overrated.

Yes true.
If Beyoncé gave us something as terrible as what some pop girls give their fans, I would DRAGGGG it, and perhaps not stan for her if she was consistent in that (again, like some pop girls).
I will always hate on the things I think suck from Beyoncé. Namely the Best Thing I Never Had video, the only video of her’s I’ve only watched once. It’s awful.
"For the Met Ball we did that high ponytail but that wasn't supposed to be the style," Farinah revealed. "We did that in the elevator as she was on the way out."
Originally Bey's long locks were entirely wrapped up in "an asian-inspired chignon," but Farinah said the Grammy winner felt the look might be too "costumey," and made a spur-of-the-moment decision.
"Then we were in the elevator on the way down, and she looks at me and says 'Neal, I want to change my hair, will you change my hair?' And I said, 'Honey, there could be cameras in the elevator,'" Farinah quipped, referencing last year's infamous "Elevatorgate" in which her sister Solange Knowles got into a physical altercation with her husband Jay Z. "She says, 'You have 5 minutes.' And I said, 'Girl, what do you want me to do with the hair?' And she wanted a high ponytail. With Beyonce, she looks at herself and she says, 'This isn't right, let's change it.'"
I remember watching this and being like, O. M. G. And then I watched it over and over and over and over.
It's truly one of the best performances and all she needed was a mic and a light + 30,000 dancers.
Totally!
Same here, and I thought she would never top this, but then she delivered this:
There will never come a time when I wont get goosebumps watching this. The utter SLAYAGE! ANd other stanbases dare to shade her. There's no one in the business who can touch her energy-wise. Sure, Pink is a great performer in her own right, I adore what she put out there, but even she would probably look less spectacular next to Bey who can deliver the most energetic performances ever!
While the VMA 2009 turned her into a legend, this performance cemented that status! After that, no one even tried to argue against her being a legend.
One of my girlfriends was at my place a couple of days ago and she asked me to find her her favorite Bey performance on YT. And guess what... It was the BBMA's RTW performance. Even her flops are iconic.
