What's wrong with a 20 tracklist album? This should be the deluxe edition tracks for every album. No one's here for a 10 track album and 14 deluxe.

No one is here for 10 fillers either tho. At least with 10-12 songs there is a artistic vision and a cohesiveness.

But, we have heard 8 songs from the album. 6 have been Top 10 hits. I don't think quality is really is an issue here.

This argument is often used but so invalid. Who says that there is a higher quality just because it's less songs? It's ridiculous.

You are contradicting yourself in this post First you claim its about quality, but then you claim that its not quality, but the listening experience.

Regardless can you just listen to the record before you make statements like this? I agree there is likely to be filler, but maybe the album will be genuinely exciting start to end? Of the tracks we have heard, the quality is rather good, and there's only 12 left to hear, which is a more normal amount.

Where did I say it's about quality tho. I said it's about a singular artistic vision and cohesiveness.

But you're right, I will wait until the album drops to judge it. But I always cringe when albums have such a long tracklisting.

She has a fantastic voice, but I can't get into some of these songs. This sound that she and artists like Kiesza are bringing about just is not hooking me, there's something missing. I will say that she is >>> Kiesza though.

I see your point, but I feel with "filler" sometimes it can be a good thing. We all have different tastes in songs and sometimes more tracks = more likelihood for other people to get into some songs than others. So there's just more tracks available for different people to enjoy, if that makes sense.

I'm not expecting a masterpiece from her since it is just a debut album and her material is pretty easy listening and nothing revolutionary. Nonetheless, we can always delete filler if there's that one dud track we all agree is trash (which probably will happen).

Pretty sure her soulful voice will be the definitive cohesiveness from this debut album..but in terms of sound, its a mix of R&B, soul pop and dance. She had already described the album as a little bit of everything from her, its not a dance record, and the theme is clearly not about love in every track but she clearly stated that its a "feel good vibe" record overall
