And please! hurt African Americans? Only reason the illegal Mexicans get recruited instead of the African Americans, besides the fact that they ask for less money and less benefits, is because they are willing to do the jobs the other group is not willing to do most of the time. And social benefits? As if African Americans are not the biggest consumers of social welfare. And correct me if I'm wrong, the kids born in the U.S are not illegals and they're entitled to social welfare. The only thing an illegal parent might get is prosecutorial discretion. They don't get any benefits or medicare.

You are so ignorant it is actually sad. I feel for you.
Did you see what happened in Alabama after anti-immigration bills were passed? Immigrants left in droves, leaving nobody to do the menial jobs most don't want to do... Instead, it could be made legal for them to live there and allow them to pay taxes on what it is they earn.
That isn't to say open the floodgates to immigrants, but the ones who have already made a life for themselves in the US and who are contributing to the economy.
edit: just realised this thread is 7 pages long and has probably been discussed, oh well.

Resorting to personal insults I see... always the same people... anyways, if the illegal immigrants left in droves it sounds like the legislation had the desired effect.
You say "just let them be"? What kind of message does that send, that people can simply break the law and bypass immigration controls with no consequence? Nope - enter illegally and face deportation. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agrees with me.

And don't be like "well it's illegal they should do it by the law". How many laws have you broken? Did you drink before 21? Have you ran red lights and went over the speed limit aka things that can actually HURT other people? Exactly.

None of that is relevant. Like at all. If I break the laws of my native country, I get punished.

It's just like those douchey straight guys that say they're against gays bc the bible says so yet they have premarital sex. You can't pick and choose what you want to follow. If you think illegals should be deported simply bc it's illegal then I hope your ass has followed every single law since you love the law so much. Otherwise you're a hypocrite who obviously doesn't care about the legality of things and you wanting them deported is rooted in racism. That is all.

Illegals don't pay taxes, health surcharge etc. which is money that the country needs in order to run.
Not to mention they take jobs from citizens and put a strain on the economy. It's not racism, it's self preservation.
EDIT: This dude really said if your against illegal immigration youre racist. Bruh...

Y'all have no right to talk negative about illegal immigrants. The country was made of illegal immigrants.

A few myths addressed:
Immigrant Don't Pay Taxes.
Immigrants pay taxes, in the form of income, property, sales, and taxes at the federal and state level. As far as income tax payments go, sources vary in their accounts, but a range of studies find that immigrants pay between $90 and $140 billion a year in federal, state, and local taxes. Undocumented immigrants pay income taxes as well, as evidenced by the Social Security Administration's "suspense file" (taxes that cannot be matched to workers' names and social security numbers), which grew by $20 billion between 1990 and 1998.
(Source: http://www.immigrationforum.org/abou.../tax_study.htm )
Immigrants come here to take welfare.
Immigrants come to work and reunite with family members. Immigrant labor force participation is consistently higher than native-born, and immigrant workers make up a larger share of the U.S. labor force (12.4%) than they do the U.S. population (11.5%). Moreover, the ratio between immigrant use of public benefits and the amount of taxes they pay is consistently favorable to the U.S. In one estimate, immigrants earn about $240 billion a year, pay about $90 billion a year in taxes, and use about $5 billion in public benefits. In another cut of the data, immigrant tax payments total $20 to $30 billion more than the amount of government services they use.

Immigrants are a drain on the U.S. economy.
During the 1990s, half of all new workers were foreign-born, filling gaps left by native-born workers in both the high- and low-skill ends of the spectrum. Immigrants fill jobs in key sectors, start their own businesses, and contribute to a thriving economy. The net benefit of immigration to the U.S. is nearly $10 billion annually. As Alan Greenspan points out, 70% of immigrants arrive in prime working age. That means we haven't spent a penny on their education, yet they are transplanted into our workforce and will contribute $500 billion toward our social security system over the next 20 years.

If stalling or slowing the economy was the desired effect, sure. Why do you think that in the years since, HB 56 has been dismantled piece-by-piece? Because it was a failure.
I'm not talking about new waves of illegal immigrants. I am talking about those that have been living illegally in the US for decades. Many of whom have only ever lived in the US. As for what message it sends? Probably, much the same as the current one.... That the US remains their best chance at a better life for them and their children.
Do you really think passing anti-immigration laws will stop people? No. These people ride on the roof of trains from Central and South America, they risk death, rape, being robbed and separated from their families for just a chance at making it to the US. But of course, Uncle Sam standing tall waving his index finger shouting "No!" will stop 'em!

Most of them escape poverty, violence and the drug menace in their home country. You'd think people in a democratic state would have better reason. As if Columbus was a legal migrant while he went about prancing in lands that didn't belong to him or worse the white immigrants that fled Europe due to similar issues.

1. If they are paying anything other sales tax, this is identity theft.
2. This doesn't include the loss of taxes based on the unemployment rates of American citizens. This also doesn't factor in the other social costs such as schooling. And this includes all immigration, and doesn't separate out illegal immigration.
3. Again, doesn't factor in the unemployment of American citizens as well as the lowered income levels in those key fields. American citizens should be the one replacing those jobs not immigrants, which is the point. Again, how are they paying into social security without a social security number?
