Yes they will, b/c businesses will have to raise their wages or not have a business at all. That's how the market works. The only thing keeping those wages down to un-proper levels is the availability of a cheaper alternatives for labor a.k.a illegal immigrants.

They're not going anywhere. If they seek to come to the US to better themselves that's the point. The US is a diverse country, and allows many the opportunities that their native country couldn't afford.
Why aren't you talking about the amount of Asian, African and European immigrants to the US? The country is based on immigrants.

I don't think you actually read the article you provided there. If illegals are made into legals then they will be paying federal taxes. When that happens, the good will outweigh the bad by far. And please! hurt African Americans? Only reason the illegal Mexicans get recruited instead of the African Americans, besides the fact that they ask for less money and less benefits, is because they are willing to do the jobs the other group is not willing to do most of the time. And social benefits? As if African Americans are not the biggest consumers of social welfare. And correct me if I'm wrong, the kids born in the U.S are not illegals and they're entitled to social welfare. The only thing an illegal parent might get is prosecutorial discretion. They don't get any benefits or medicare.

I disagree, the first thing it would do is open a huge amount of jobs in the service economy. It wont change everything overnight, but it would be a huge blessing to lots of struggling American families.

All of this is conjecture. The first thing we could do is change our laws to discourage anymore immigrants from crossing and seal the border as much as we can.

I said Immigrants not exclusively Mexicans, they are way too much people, the US just won't be able to get rid of them.
And I don't wanna be rude but the US has no culture, is too mixed to have an identity, it just has none. Or maybe the culture you are saying are all those blacks, hispanics and asians living here.

so it's that simple???
because when all our food prices go up...everyone will be asking for higher wages no matter what job and these business will still not want to fork it over
there will always and i mean always be someone willing to accept less...so if the business won't fork it over...they will find someone else
same way wage raise saw cut in staff...this problem is way more complex than what you are implying because so much goes into it

First off, the only reason the illegals are getting hired is b/c they aren't citizens. So be prepared for lots of uneducated illegal immigrants to be even worse off than they were before.
Secondly, that still doesn't solve the problem of those unemployed African American and other poor Americans who now have no job b/c and illegal was willing to work for less. What are they supposed to do? Illegals don't have to pay the taxes an American citizen has to so they will always have the upper hand in that arena.
Third, the parents are able to benefit from the welfare because the money goes to households, not just the child itself. Also no other country allows for that happen either, only the US.

It may not solve everything, but it would be a step in the direction. I mean what would you prefer? More immigrants coming across, causing Americans to have even worse job prospects? Why is that okay with you? Why don't you care about your next door neighbor as much as someone who already has a country to go to?
Businesses "can't find someone else" if only American citizens are employable. The markets will adjust to higher priced foods. If no one can afford them, businesses will have to sell them at lower prices.

The US does have a culture. All those songs, movies and books you consume are American culture. You're telling me jazz and rock which is distinctly American is not a cultural aspect?
Those blacks, Hispanics, whites, and Asians are American. Therefore that is a American culture. There's a reason why countries have laws (such as France and Canada) to lessen the effect of American culture since it's too dominant.
The US isn't not getting rid of anyone. The more people who enter the US and gain citizenship the more the economic base of the country grows.
Atleast the US is not in a dire situation like in Europe where falling population growth will spell a disaster in the future. And there's enough land in the US for many people.

there will always be someone willing to accept that lower wage...and i'm talking about even American citizens...so no i don't think these wages will be rising
and if these wages raise...businesses will just cut ppl...and that's what have been happening over the past years...it's not the immigrants that are "stealing" jobs...it's jobs cutting staff to accommodate with having to fork over more money

i honestly do not think immigrants are the solution to unemployment because like i've said countless times...when a company has to fork over more money...they cut their staff and make them work even more
and if we are going to ship out all illegal immigrant to get jobs for citizens...then something has to be done about these sweat shops that companies use because they don't want to fork over the money to give jobs to the citizens...so they go over the borders to those that will take the job for little pay
