There are so many misconceptions within this fanbase. Fame Era fans are always whining about her not listening to fans, not working with professionals, and not be collaborative all because she's not at the top of the charts. They make no sense.

Gaga works with professional every single day or her life. You guys are up in here acting like she goes out and pulls random people off of the street. Just say "different people" rather than "professionals" lol.

Gaga controlled The Fame, The Fame Monster, Born This Way, and ARTPOP. The only difference with ARTPOP was that I believe she hit a wall creatively and professionally. Like she said, you can only run a train on a track by itself for so long before it runs off the tracks, and she ran off the tracks.

Hopefully C2C and her success so far this year has revitalized her.

She's never going to stop working with her friends, though. Why would she? Asking her to fire her friends because you don't like what they come up with is ridiculous.

Actually, she literally did. Fans camped outside of her studio in LA and she would periodically go outside to them, let them hear a few things, and then go back and change things. She struggled a hell of a lot because she wanted to not only please the fans but also the label.

ARTPOP encompasses everything her fans begged her for.

ARTPOP was almost everything you guys were asking for from her album at the time. I remember fans asking her to return to the lightness and dancepop of The Fame. She followed that desire, sort of, but messed it up with her excessive tie-ins with pretentious, bizarre concepts. That's where the era truly faltered.

The sales reflect the behaviour of a messy, self-victimizing, depressed 2013 Gaga. She was doing some utterly bizarre **** including but not limited to:

• Posting nude Abramovic Method videos online
• Having meltdowns about Applause's performance on twitter
• Having meltdowns at Perez on twitter
• Having meltdowns at DWUW's release
• Shading Katy on twitter
• Attacking the press
• Telling the press they can't criticise her music
• Acting pretentiously
• Getting vomited on at Doritos-sponsored festivals

All of which gave the media and GP more than enough to have a field day. ARTPOP had some weak tracks, but the reason it sold poorly is because the era was not ready to be launched when it was, and that the Gaga brand was completely unappealing to the GP. The music had a little to do with it, but it was mainly an image problem, first and foremost.

It's not whether we like what they come up with, it's that the execution is actually bad. Not liking a hairstyle that Freddie comes up with is totally fine, looking like a mess with visible glue or looking like the wig came from a dollar store is simply unacceptable for a superstar.
