Other than the raven one, I haven't watched it since like episode 7 or something. Empire really stepped on it's throat lol. Regardless, that but the outing scene was so cringeworthy I could NOT deal. The Mom screaming "BLACK JEEEEESUSSS" literally made my day though.

So people were posting lists of Ciara songs 'that would've been smashes if released' and I actually gave her a chance and listened to some since these gays are always saying her label releases the wrong songs as singles.
Her discography is a joke aside from singles. All those recommended songs were so damn basic, don't stand out, just her basic boring average R&B filler. She truly is filler outside singles. If 'Overdose', 'Hotline', 'Turn It Up', 'Livin It Up', 'Heavy Rotation', etc are her BEST album tracks, then her label truly is picking right singles. 
And I bought Ciara and it's always been average to me, though they claim it's her best album. What about Overdose is so amazing? It's definition of filler. Tried to listen to a few Jackie songs, but they're all crap.
It's a reason why she's a flop now. Her music just sucks. The public agrees, the critics agree, everyone but ATRL stans pay her dust.

Overdose, Living It Up doesn't sound like hit material to you? If Taylor can smash with Shake It Off and Katy with Roar, what does it matter if it's generic pop?

They're both so basic. They wouldn't have smashed, Ciara can't make good Pop. LSM was her only great Pop song, and that probably had more to do with JT.
Usher was SO smart for doing Pop in 2010/2011.  His career would've ended up like Ciara's and he would've had Basic Instict and Fantasy Ride sized eras still doing the same R&B like her. Ciara attempted to adapt once it was too late, her career was already through.
+ Usher rolling a few generic Pop smashes also helped his R&B become mainstream and do better than other R&B songs. It's a win win.

1. And Usher's pop wasn't basic? Didn't he collab with Guetta... and Pitbull?
2. Can't be sure that Ciara's adaption was too late cos none of those pop songs actually saw single release. But Living It Up went platinum in SK if that's any indication.
3. Let's see how much Usher's next album sells b4 we get too cocky. If it even exists that is. It's been over a year since Good Kisser was released, still no release date, and worst of all, nobody is actually checking for it
