WINNER album was successful due to the lyrical content not the production or having bop songs. Koreans aren't as shallow when it comes to just wanting bop songs but songs that they can connect too. Hints why BIGBANG also went with Loser and ballads do so well in Korea.

Except it's not just this thread that likes it. OH, Asian Junkie, and various online reviewers all praised it. Seoulbeats was the only site I saw that reviewed it negatively. Differences in taste, I guess.
