Like please, you'd have all done the same thing as him.
Have you seen their fans? 98% of them are bat **** crazy and delusional, not to mention stupid as hell.
Have you heard their albums? Almost no progress at all except for some tiny changes in their sound yes but nothing drastic.
Have you seen their image? Zayn is 22 years old and he's allowed to be a mature artist at this age, he probably felt trapped in that teenage image, any normal person would feel trapped in that image AND it IS embarrassing.

Four albums in and they didn't even do anything remotely sexual like Nsync and all the others, that's just suffocating to people who want to be true artists.

+ To those saying that 'he should've been a solo act right from the start' - he was the ONLY ONE who doubted to get into 1D though, he auditioned as a solo act (well they all did but him and Harry were the only ones with an actual chance).

Him and Harry will both have successful solo careers though.
Those childish fans will follow Zayn no matter how much they 'hated' his departure, you'll see.

Meanwhile Liam will have like 1 or 2 successful ballads probably and Niall + Louis will sink away in irrelevancy & they know it.

You clearly didn't watch the show Zayn was on.

Liam had BY FAR the best chance at a place in the final, followed by Harry. Zayn was considered to be better only than Louis (jellyfish boy).

Maybe the fact that he decided to attack NB and Zayn FIRST with some stale shade about a damn instagram filter, when the picture in question had absolutely 0 to do with Louis, or 1D to begin with? That sounds pretty pathetic to me.

There's nothing wrong with Zayn sticking up for himself, especially when he's being attacked by someone who was supposed to be his "brother for life". NB may have instigated in the past, but Zayn has never started anything with any of 1D. He was literally minding his own business when Louis thought it would be appropriate to attempt a drag.

This would actually depend on the contract. If he was really "fired" from the group like the rumors suggested, then it's possible he could still get paid.

I know that if a manager helps put together a tour with the booking agent, and all the dates and venues are set, then the manager is fired, they're still entitled to their commission, even though they're no longer the artist's manager during the time of the tour. Not sure if it could work the same with a member of a group/band.

Uhm Liam knew Simon already though so he was waiting to see the improvements that Liam made compared to his audition a year before so that gave him an extra push.
Personality wise Liam is even more annoying than Zayn.
Zayn might be a boring stoner but Liam is def. even more boring than him, even his voice isn't that special, it's strong but that's it.
Harry and Zayn were the other good singers and you can always work on someone's personality.
I think Zayn will surprise many people when he starts his solo era.

Niall and especially Louis couldn't sing one note properly so let's not even consider them singers.

He proved to be the asshole of the group a long time ago with all his bitchy comments.
Let's be honest here, Louis likes to state his opinion wether it's wanted or not.
He's just THAT person but in fact he should be thankful to everyone in that group cause thanks to them he has a career.
He would've never made it with his vocals and let's not start about his writing cause 1D's songs/lyrics are nothing brilliant or iconic, they're very generic pop songs and he doesn't even write them by himself.
If anything he's clinging on to the group's last few months because he knows that his music career is done after this.
His success is undeserved because he brings nothing to the table.

cos i love louis & in this case he has certainly done nothing wrong anyways

2 of the songs he has written are actually in my top favorites & 2 of the most beloved songs in their discography not to mention he has a hand in writing almost all of their songs on the last 2 albums which are complete masterpieces imo
