I think the same thing tbh. They probably just threw the album out there to get as many sales as possible from her core audience and to have new material out there during the tour. The era might actually start after the tour, during I Can Do That.
Although I don't see why they want her to have a pop era just when urban is coming back, but I'll shut up about it because I'm team Cici no matter what.
Don't know which rapper she could get though.
