it is. not only did the ratings increase every week, the soundtrack snatched the #1 bb200 position from madonna and has sold more than alot of pop girls' latest release.

edit: i thought you said bigger. but yeah, HTGAWM is the best. I've tried so many times to get into empire but i couldn't get past the first episode

and i've never seen scandal. doesn't interest me

Scandal season 2 > HTGAWM S1 >>>>>>>> Empire S1

If you like HTGAWM you'll love Scandal, especially the earlier seasons (the current season 4 is a bit bleh). Empire also does get worth it, you need to get past episode 2,3 and you'll be hooked. Episode 1 almost turned me off because of the corny, autotuned singing, but I think they was just trying to state it was going to be a drama with musical numbers. There's like 1-2 max in the later episodes though

Empire is just Glee for Black people (corny songs, bad acting, super cheesy and weak plots) mixed with your typical soap opera drama. I watch it every week though because I love a messy show. It's good for watch it is, a ratings bait. Let's not act as if it has any redeemable quality or is groudbreaking.

Superbottom hating. Empire is a great new show who's only common connection to Glee is that music is performed. Interesting characters, great acting (for the most part), good story structure. It's more of an urban soap opera.

And I don't get the Jamal hate. He was liked up until he slayed and got made the boss. Fickles!

All that and yet it's STILL better than Scandal and HTGWM. And higher rated too.


But let's be real, this kinda **** is not what Bey does anymore. Maybe if Mathew was still her manager or it was 2006.
