If you're talking about HIAM (and you must be since it's her last lead to hit #1 on ITunes), it took it 8 hours to hit #1 and the song was released not at midnight, but closer to the morning hours when people were already waking up, having already been premiered and played on the radio.
Different circumstances. Obviously the hype for this is not as big as HIAM, but to compare it in that way makes no sense.
