Jackie (B.M.F.) - A failed attempt at recreating the brilliance of 'Basic Instinct (U Got Me)'. Just doesn't work. Stale beat and she doesn't sell the bravado. I see her trying that "I did a freestyle then I got a shoutout from Obama" flow. 2/10 That's How I'm Feeling - Infectious chorus, but overall a very cheap, dated sound. 4/10 Lullaby - A charmless Dilemma rip-off. Literally nothing happens in this song. Soooo boring. I like the beat that comes in on the 2nd half of the 2nd verse I guess. 2/10 Dance Like We're Making Love - Just perfect. Usher's 'Climax' levels of building tension and never letting it go. I see God in the chorus. And those pre-chorus MJ inflections! 10/10 Stuck On You - Unlistenable mess. 1/10 Fly - What's with all these dusty choruses straight out of 2010? 2/10 I Bet - Sounds even better surrounded by all this trash. So melancholy and beautiful. Serving country realness lyricism. And I live for those male adlibs. Yeahyeahyeahyeah. 9/10 Give Me Love - The verses go OFF. The chorus is bland and gives a slight RedOne-circa-PF:RR tea, but that's positively sonically innovative compared to most of these stale tracks. 7/10 Kiss & Tell - Ridiculously good. Maybe the best song of 2015. Opulent production. Really warm melodies. Total MDMA vibe. 10/10 All Good - Summery fun and the sound is forward-thinking and experimental instead of serving Alexis Jordan B-sides. Really infectious and gets better and better with each listen. 9/10 Only One - Yet another flavourless mess. Girl, where's the seasoning? 1/10 One Woman Army - Hymns like 'Blauw' are left on the cutting room floor yet this unwanted, tragic mess crawls its way onto an album? It really could have stayed unreleased. 1/10 I Got You - Generic, soulless Diane Warren bore. 1/10
Easily her worst album to date. Soooo tepid. But at least it has two stone-cold classics. Dr. Luke came THROUGH on "Dance Like We're Making Love" and "Kiss & Tell". Other than that I'm kind of only keeping "I Bet" and "All Good", as well as "Give Me Love" for those addictive verses.

'Kiss & Tell' is the only chance for a hit (and even then, it only has a small chance). Perfect for summer, and has a slight (but only slight) Jealous/Style/Love Me Harder vibe. I adore 'Dance Like We're Making Love' but it isn't a hit, and everything else on the album is way too stale to make any mark.
And I know I shouldn't kiss and tell - shhhhhhh.
Such a perfect song.
It also gives me a bit of '9 to 5' by Electrik Red, in how bright and warm the production is, and the throwback Prince influences.

I knew I wasn't the only one that heard it! Not sure why it only has a "small chance" of being a hit though. It's flawless.

I insist that @ciara's "That's How I'm Feelin'" feat. @MissyElliott and @pitbull be released as a single. #SummerBop

It is flawless, but I mean, it's Ciara. She doesn't exactly set pop radio alight. And now it's not even going to be a summer single so there's no hope. I'll pray for a miracle though.
I Bet and DLWML. Only One and I Got You are pop ballads.
Oh I see. The album title, cover and first single really misleads you into thinking this is a mostly R&B album. I wish she had gone that route, but eh I like pop Ciara too.

That's because she hasn't had a single sent to the format in 6 years. She hasn't been able to prove herself yet.

A lot of people have said it's too pop but I think it has a nice mix.
