In defense, that was a perfectly reasonable comparison to make. Both songs were fan favorites that many wanted released as the second single (the actual second single did well for itself, removed 1-hit wonder status, but was airplay-fueled) off of each artist's commercially successful debut albums, spurred on by a long-running, massive lead single that came out of nowhere.
