The punishment never matched the crime and everyone knows this. The Indonesian government is pathetic and has so many loop holes in it.

The fact that these smugglers could of paid $50,000 to get a get-out-of-jail card shows you how flawed the system is. Especially when they spent 10 years in prison and they decided to execute them now but they can let of the Bali bombers? To me, it is just them trying to make a point to foreigners. I do however, disagree with the whole one minute silence ********. I'm not praying for people smuggling substances that could potentially destroy lives. I will however, think of the trauma their families went through.

Murder is never okay especially when a state commits it. These boys did wrong but they did not deserve to die.

The legal system is ****ed in all countries.

Drug smugglers (yes I agree on punishment but not murder), the black man who was arrested when bullets police fired towards him bounced off and hit others... charged severely, even executed.

But murderers, rapists, repeated drink driving cases where innocent people are killed and officers can get off pretty much scot free?

The Indonesian government has always been and remains a complete mess, if they want to catch up to the developed countries of Asia/Oceania they need to sort their **** out ASAP. This whole thing reeks of politics and these men were clearly being made an example of.

Unfortunately that's going to take centuries. Indonesia is overpopulated. Their population is 250 million people Part of why Australia thrives is because we have our population in check. If you can't afford a child, don't bring it into this world. Overpopulation causes SO many of the world's problems.

Definitely. Countries with overpopulation have succeeded (ie East-Asia + Singapore), but they are organised and innovative as opposed to a chaotic mess.

I don't think it's as simple as 'overpopulation'. Indonesia has many problems - lack of education, free press and economic freedom, income inequality, corruption, human rights, and environmental issues to name a few. Their population would be more controllable/stable the more educated and wealthy the population become.

Just because it's law doesn't mean it's moral.
