See You Again and Shut Up and Dance are the only songs right now that seem big enough to prove a threat, I think. I was thinking Trap Queen, but Pop radio might be too hesitant to pick it up, so it should be held off from blowing up completely for now. And then Want You To Want Me is doing really well too.
I'd aim for top ten for now. Top 5 if it proves to trump some songs after the video and BBMA.
SUAD and WTWM will both flounder by the time "Pretty Girls" is peaking. Unfortunately, the terrible "Cheerleader (Omi Remix)" has adds dates the same day as "Pretty Girls." That trash will probably be the song of the summer.
I'm hoping "See You Again" fizzles out a little faster. The "make a sad song to profit off celebrity deaths" trend got old when people cared who Elton John was. The chorus is great, though.
NO #6. I don't like even peaks, they're frustrating. #2 is one spot away from #1, #4 is one spot away from top 3, #6 is one spot away from top 5. Lord. That's why Britney's top tens are all odds (#1, #3, #7, #9). <3 Except Crazy.

I'm gonna be honest with myself and just say that I fully expect this to slay. I'm done with my forced moderate expectations, bring on the multiplatinum SMASH.
Thankfully most of the songs in the top ten have been doing well basically all year (Uptown Funk, Thinking Out Loud, Love Me Like You Do, Earned It, Sugar, etc) so a top ten debut shouldn't be hard at all.
How much did songs like Thinking Out Loud & Love Me Like You Do sell last week?
