It's tricky because the reasons idols are suing nowadays are much different from the major controversies of the past with the likes of JYJ and Hangeng who were 200% justified in their lawsuits because they were being disgustingly overworked, underfed, their health wasn't taken into consideration whatsoever by their managers and the profit distribution of their work was hugely disadvantageous towards them. But since then SM must have made changes to rectify those issues because they aren't just some dark industry secret anymore. Like I genuinely don't believe SM is the same company it used to be who beat and abused their trainees/rookie idols for misbehaving or not following orders, who forced foreign idols to perform wearing masks to hide their faces, who refused their idols emergency medical treatment/risking their lives just to stick to their strict schedules. These people are earning the company millions of dollars, so surely it's in everybody's best interests to keep them happy and, y'know, not treat them like literal garbage. Which is why I feel like the KrisHan lawsuits were actually kinda shady on their own part, because their reasons for leaving seem kinda ambiguous in the sense that they just wanted to be free of SM to capitalise on their newfound fame in their own countries.
Those are just my thoughts anyway. tl;dr I don't think SM is still as bad as they've been made out to be in the past, idols are just as likely to be at fault as the company is. Idols leaving are probably just doing it to try because they know they can use their fame as K-pop stars as a springboard to make more money by themselves in their home countries.
I agree 100%. SM's past doesn't help cases like this, or the ones in the past, but it's obviously a different thing entirely now. I definitely don't think Kris/Luhan/Tao's situation is as bad as its being inflated. But they can clearly profit from a lawsuit and past K-pop career. I mean, look at Kris getting a solo album.
onsdfjasifjsafijsf I dunno why more people in this thread don't use INFINITE because they genuinely slay so hard. Perfect live vocals, perfect choreography. Like so good Literally the only group who can touch SHINee when it comes to quality of their live performances.
He's probably thinking of all the lines he could probably snatch on their next comeback.
He was the only member to have literally an entire verse to himself in Call Me Baby though The only members who should be trying to snatch more lines are the irrelevant talentless flops like Suho, Sehun, etc.
