O2 is a slang term for oxygen in the science world. Just like how H2O is water (H = Water and 2O is Oxygen --> Water with oxygen)! We should rename Madonna's 'Holy Water' to Holy H2O tbh

CO does attach to the same binding point in hemoglobin as O2, that's why it's poisonous and deadly, oxygen can't bind if CO is already attached.
