I object to these lowballed figures
Baby One More Time' (1999) 25 million I don't get the point of using this as if there hasn't been a consistent quote of 28 M and 30M more than 25M. I remember 25M was the stat while the album was still 12x platinum in the US and Oops was only at 17M and not all the way through ha era yet. The album in the states alone went up to 14x platinum and sold well throughout the years with sales of over 135k over the past few years alone.
I just don't get the purpose of using this low amount that was used back in late 2000 when the album was still getting re certified.
'Oops!...I Did It Again' (2000) 22 million It is what it is. I'm more inclined to believe this although 25M seems more likely however, this probably is more accurate than BOMT. That and the GH lowball sales are pure blasphemy. IMO.
'Britney' (2001) 11 million...I though this was 12M but this seems right I suppose
'Greatest Hits: My Prerogative' (2004) 5 million...this is BS...I remember back in 2004 when in the first quarter of these sales she sold 4M albums and there was a press release on it too...and the album was not even at 1M in the states at that point. With it's continual boosts WW on itunes alone the numbers that Anticipating has is accurate and chart news confirmed more than 6 not too long ago. this lowball is blasphemy.
'Blackout' (2007) 2,5 million ...could have sworn 3.1M was actually confirmed but hey this isn't has blasphemous as those GHs numbers that were reached less than 3 months from release in 2004/early 2005
The others seem accurate enough

Hmmm. Her fans always make it sound like she sold 50-60 million albums.

I'm sitting here going, that's not bad. Until I realized there's almost a dozen albums there.

The U.S. is the biggest music market by a mile, though. Few, if any, artists that don't break the U.S. sell more albums than that.

Didn't her fans say Laundry Service sold like 20m+?
Shakira's sales are very low if I'm being really honest

Damn Whitney. Commercial juggernaut :Jonny: I think Clive Davis being fired from Arista had a lot to do with her commercial decline, along with other factors

Exactly. The sales seem kind of inflated.
