"Earned It" now looks like it will be the song that replaces "Uptown Funk" at #1 on AI & HRS. I'm just hoping UF can hold on through Wednesday to get its 13th week, which would pass "We Found Love" as the longest stay on top of the HRS Chart so far this decade. With #1 losing fairly steeply (though a little slower than two days ago) #2 also losing (and accelerating in its falling) and #3 gaining but slowing down significantly, I think "Earned It" at #4 will be the next Airplay #1. As I said, hopefully AFTER next Wednesday.
"See You Again" would probably take three weeks to catch up with EI if SYA does, since fewer formats are playing SYA due to the heavy amount of rap content. Sure they could edit out the rap content, but then you edit out the main artist on the song. I guess you could edit out Wiz's raps but not his semi-singing and he would get some airplay on Hot AC and Urban AC. EI already has those formats though, plus AC, and that song will likely approach 200 million on AI. I'm not sure SYA can reach that level of impression totals. I think it will need to rely on streaming and downloads, and Top Five but not #1 AI/HRS Airplay.
