I can honestly say I never knew outshone was a word. I guess I learned something before I attack your statement.
"Kris outshone Adam..." is an opinion, not an incontrovertible fact. If someone wants to be angry that Adam lost, let them. You would do the same thing if Kris lost so don't act like you are some authority on this. I'm not pissed that Adam lost but that is because I know Adam will be successful regardless of whether or not he won. The crying would be much worse if Kris lost. Trust me, I know some of you wouldn't be able to handle it.
