Why couldnt y'all just praise Azealia for bringing some musical diversity to the hip hop genre instead of turning into another iggy vs azealia thread. What? You do not need to be signed to book interviews and play at festivals and she was signed when she was SummerJam which she was booed because her dancer is gay. You need a label for your songs to be mass played on radio stations.
