Listening to and reading Hali's exit interviews really makes me realize how much the edit is leaving out. I know that the editors have to condense everything into 42 minutes, but I really feel like we're not getting the best show possible. I mean, here we are getting a montage of Mike during his idol hunt/find, when there are so many relationship dynamics missing. I understand that they had to show him finding the idol, but it was all too much. And I kind of actually like Mike. Apparently we're not being shown how Hali and Jenn weren't actually that close to Joe and would have voted him out if he lost the immunity challenge, along with a lot of other stuff pertaining to Carolyn's and Will's relationships and sides of things. Like, Hali and Jenn thought that they had Will voting with them, but not Shirin. Will must be thoroughly manipulating them, but we're not getting to see any of it. You could argue that maybe the stuff we're not being shown is going unaired because it doesn't lead to much, but I just think too much has fallen to the cutting room floor in favor of Mike and Rodney.
