Ball room culture was full of white gays and white trans people. I really hate when people watch that Paris is burning and think that's where voguing came from
Voguing, drag, "reads" etc. had been an underground gay (any race) for decades. Even back in the 50s when it was all theatre gays aka the precursors to that.
