Fight with who? iTunes is more than happy to get the coins. They are just a distributor; they don't really have a say. Labels are the culprits for holding off releases, but I think Rih is in a pretty good place right now in terms of controlling her career. Then again, she may have some kind of a deal related to Tidal etc. So the "obstacle" could have to do with scheduling, but if she really wants to make it happen, that's not preventing her too long.

I happen to be one of the rare ones that believe the older rumor that RocNation won't let her release the album because they want an album with hits. She's undoubtedly their biggest star and if this album doesn't perform well they would have had all their female artists flop. Despite Navy loving the stuff so far the GP hasn't been that open to the new material and despite her being the new biggest artist at RocNation they are still a business. They care about sales, so I believe those rumors that they aren't releasing anything until they get some records the GP will like along with the other stuff they've already recorded.

Yeah I saw on lipstickalley one of the guys who does A&R at Rocnation asking for submissions for Rihanna. He also posted in a few music forums looking for new producers to submit tracks for her, Rita and Shakira

How many times does it need to be said that Roc Nation is not her actual label anymore? They handle distribution and management. That's all. They don't have a say because none of their money went into the album. It's Rihanna's label, thus her money, her decisions. Roc Nation's job now is simply to take what she gives them and handle the rest. The person to blame is her. It's more likely she signed some Tidal exclusive deal and they're saving it for later after they've exhausted all the lighter exclusive material.

unless you can see the numbers on he car stereo, we have no idea what the track list is. we have no idea what they were listening to in the first place the fanfiction must be stopped.

secondly, RN is her distributor so she still has to work with them. the only way she would be completely free to do whatever she wanted is if she was independent. and isn't Westbury Road under the RN umbrella? of course she is still dealing with label politics and the like. that will never, EVER go away.

If Rih is really re doing this album wouldn't she put out music more current since RocNation really wants that number 1 hit.

Instead everything we've gotten so far is old material.( the newest song we heard was BBHMM, but even that was done months ago) Plus
