Also I want your opinions on this. Is it weird when people talk about really personal stuff on Facebook, Instagram etc.? Like I mean their own depression, their own suicide attempts, their coming outs... I feel like some things you shouldn't tell people through social media or texting because it's too easy and saying it in person makes you really understand the impact and ramifications of what you're saying. But idk because also I like reading when people make posts about overcoming depression with a positive message for everyone!

If they're using it as a positive platform, like raising awareness for something, or keeping people informed about their progress (in the right direction!), then they should be able to post it, if that makes sense?
In regards to something like coming out, my way of coming out to
everyone (besides family and close friends) was to post it on Facebook. It's completely up to how you feel comfortable coming out, as some people may be more able to talk about it face-to-face than others.
As long as the overall effect is a positive one, it's fine by me. What isn't fine is when things get trivialised.
