I'm on season 4 now, and this show is already losing it's greatness with

Fitz being jealous of Jake,
Olivia acting like a teenager between Jake and Fitz,
Jake being accused of killing president's son.
Rowan getting away with almost everything.

Yeah the writing is so far not promising this season but I just ended episode 4 so it has room to grow hopefully.

Edit: Just finished 5th episode and yeah no I don't think it is going anywhere with this love story at all. Fitz beating Jack in that holding cell for Olivia and not for his son is just all kinds of wrong. They need a Homeland season 4 kinda innovation, maybe kill President Fitz and change the story a little?

I will never get over how stupid, pointless, and unnecessary that entire storyline was. It was going so well until that.

It wasn't pointless or stupid. In fact, I'm surprised that it didn't happen sooner. Fitz it's the president and by now, all of his enemies would know that he has a long time affair. EVERYONE in the white house knows that he would jump in front of a train to save Liv. I think the only person that could really protect her is sr. Pope, but she kinda send him always moments before the abduction. And the kidnap also served to show Liv herself the bad things that could happen TO HER while being on an unofficial relationship with Fitz. She always saw things happening to other people. And also, this is like something that Shonda likes to do in every show that she runs. She would build a strong character (a woman most of the time) and put her in a situation to show people how vulnerable this strong person can be. It happened to Christina Yang (Grey's Anatomy) and Annalise (on HTGAWM).

They were the root of the show but they developed really bad, halfway through season 3 I gave up on them and I don't want them to be together, especially after this season's 13th episode with Liv's best monologue.

I'm tired of seeing every new man in Olivia's life working for Rowen. I guess the death of Jack proves that they are going for Olivia & Fitz direction, which is a shame
