What other big releases do we have for May? R8 might be coming and Florence could pull 80 - 90k but other than that, I haven't really heard about anything BIG dropping Kanye is most probably going to be an April release.
But even if she doesn't get #1, a solid debut with over 50k sales will be fine for us

Pessimistic whiney complaint about the release date
I love "I Bet", but Ciara needs at least 2 singles before the album is out and the second one needs to be rhythmic / pop appealing, while I Bet climbs on urban. The May 4th release only gives time for I Bet to peak (top 10 on urban, barely top 25 on rhythmic, possibly nowhere on pop) and maybe one or two pre-order buzz tracks. That's not good enough. I still have her back and I'll buy 2 or 3 copies like I do with every Ciara album, but this era could have been so much more well launched if they released 2 singles before the album. Plus, labels tend to end their eras soon after the album comes out, so we probably won't even get 3 proper singles unless she pulls amazing unexpected numbers

Although this is true, it's also true that July is one of the lowest selling times for albums.
Also, fans want an album to bop to throughout the summer, please!
