Even after all these years & +60m users, Spotify still loses money each year. So I don't know where this "Spotify is stealing!!1111!" thing is coming from.
Yes, their payment per stream is ridicously low. But 90% of their users still would stream for free on Youtube or illegally download the music (especially those that use Spotify Free) so that's extra money for the music industry. There's a reason why the countries where streaming fully took over are the only countries with increasing revenue, even with the massive anti-streaming campaign from artists/labels.
If people like Jay-Z want to help the artists, then give them fair contracts on your label and actual opportunities to breakthrough.
