I mean Rihanna clearly does NOT care about Number One songs and she shouldn't at this point in her career. I can name albums that still did well without a number one single. If she succeeds in selling more albums this era then technically Singles won't matter. She may not be number one with a song on Billboard but RIhanna has several top ten songs that smashed almost as hard. The era is MUCH better in organization then her previous ones.

I just have a feeling R8 and future singles won't be anywhere on relevant streaming service (Spotify; 40m users) but they will of course be on that flop Tidal (50k users), which will result in a DISASTER.

Streaming is her strongest front, and giving the fact that streaming has been RAPIDLY increasing and other things like digital sales have been RAPIDLY decreasing (a week at #1 on iTunes results in only 100k?! )

AND SHE IS A #1 STREAMED FEMALE ON SPOTIFY FOR ****S SAKE AND THEY WILL WASTE THAT WHY?

This could be such a successful era, but it's going up to be a complete disaster. Why are they so stupid omg.... can she please return to Dead Jam at least....

I mean the song didn't have a full week, 100K is better than FFS debut, and Diamonds as well. Humanity sis it's like you have ZERO faith in RIhanna. The era has gone on without a HITCH. If anything her current success is what Rated R should have been(top ten hits for the first two singles). And HOME is seeing success that Battleship could only wish for. Critics have praised RIhanna's contribution to the soundtrack and she's finally being taken seriously as an artist. I mean a number one would be nice but I think there are more important things at hand.What good is number one songs if your album won't do well, and your other projects flop?

Pls. This era has been okay success wise, but she could've done WAY more. Chhh. It's really giving Rated R teas. (both RR and Hard were top 10). And that ain't a good thing So far the success and the promo has been underwhelming compared to other eras and you know it. It's a mess all around

I think the fact she doesn't overpromote is actually giving her an edge. All her performances are now special events which don't happen often so they create much bigger buzz. If she overpromoted like Iggy, Ariana or Nick Jonas people would be like "oh another Rihanna performance, sooooooooo interesting "

This notion that there's some form of artistic integrity in releasing music without promoting it is just childish.
