What even is "Grammy bait" because Katy should take notes!

Songwriting talent is a no, all of Sam's songs (that I've heard anyway, there could be gems on his album for all I know) are just boring and very surface level. He doesn't even use gender specific pronouns in order to avoid offending the bible belt.

How is he a good writer when he's not even an honest writer? Also Katy has sold more albums in her career, so she's not worried. Vocals is always a sore point for poor Kat. I'll give Sam that one. But I prefer Katy's voice than his whiny vocals anyway.
Katy makes music for the charts (and herself), not for the Grammys. Maybe she'll make a Grammy bait album next year. But In The Lonely Hour, at least from the singles, was definitely a Grammy bait album trying (and ultimately succeeding) in pulling the "Male Adele" shtick.
