I don't think that's the right perspective for analysis. "Female urban song" isn't something Pop radio looks for to meet a quota of sorts. It's not which gender sings it or what genre it's from, it's what it sounds like. 2 On is something that fits well with Pop radio, BBHMM isn't.
To be fair though, "Money" is still rather comparable to Turn Down For What, which reached as far as Top 5, though that was a combination of being somewhat of a viral hit and a consistent digital seller. It's possible Rihanna only needs the latter for it to take off on Pop, so I guess it's more or less going to be reliant on how it fares on iTunes for the next few weeks.

The World I Know
The fact that I know every song in the '96 list except for the BoDeans song. I didn't Tina Arena had a radio hit in the US!
EDIT: Wait, Closer To Free is the theme song to Party of Five! That makes it 20 out of 20 for me.

Great top 10 save S&M and More.
On the other hand, I hate how these retros remind me of how little I know about old music. I know 3 of the 2006 songs (Temperature, Unwritten, and So Sick), and that's it.

Nah.
As I've stated before, I've never taken time to go back and actively check out old music.

Yes those songs came out when downloads only had to sell 100,000 copies to go gold and 200,000 for platinum. RIAA went back and retroactively adjusted the certifications. I'm assuming that's 2006, since "Bad Day" was #1 song of that year. I should clarify my statement: I remember the titles on the charts, not so much the music as almost all of the songs were out of my formats.

"Sugar" just barely gained on AI today and is still 50 million impressions behind "Uptown Funk." UF will break WFL's record of 12 wks at #1 for this decade, as that's three weeks away when he gets his week 13. I can't see UF falling fast enough or another song rising quickly enough to close the gap within three weeks.
I talked about the controversy over who really holds the longevity record on HRS, whether you strictly go by weeks or only include tracks from when all formats counted. Respectively, you would need 18 weeks to tie scenario one, and 16 weeks to tie scenario two.

As one of the oldest members, I remember all of these songs placing on the charts, though I didn't hear every one of them because my favorite formats were rarely represented.

If songs got the same updates they got today for every day in the next 3 weeks, here's what the overall AI chart will look like in 3 weeks' time (rounded to nearest whole number):
UF! 192M
LMLYD 179M
Looking good for UF!.
I'm banking on 4 more weeks at the top. Things could get more complicated, though, if LMLYD slows down.

I agree with four more weeks, because unless download and streaming numbers start to really tumble for "Uptown Funk", the song will continue to drop slowly at radio, like "Dark Horse" and "All Of Me" did last year. UF's Top 40 losses are still larger than its AI losses, because other formats are either holding steady or still slowly increasing in airplay. Even at Top 40, the 2,000 daily spin drops have shrunk to 500.

I'm in High School too, and know every single one of those songs. Only like 1 of those, did I find out years after it was a hit. If you don't know those you just weren't growing up hearing the radio in the car.
Check On It, Bad Day, and Be Without You were unavoidable. There's no excuses n.
