I'll be happy if she releases some great music and the album moves some copies. If she gets a top 20 hit, amazing. Maybe she'll end up doing a small tour which would also be great.
And if everything fails, she'll just join SNSD and others in the list of acts who tried.

But the thing is, as much as people are "writing her off" and are getting "bothered" by her, you have to understand people are raising the stakes on her a little too much. I think it'll be amazing if she's really successful, but there's nothing to suggest she'll be massive anyway. I'm sure when SNSD did The Boys in 2011, the Sones had a list of things as to why they'd smash in the US and would be the next big thing, but it just never happened.
There's no point in people saying "omg CL is performing at an EDM festival, coming to slay, guaranteed to smash!" etc, because it doesn't really mean anything. It's a great accomplishment for her, just like David Letterman was to SNSD, but it's not sealing the deal on her being successful, neither is being signed to Scooters label. There's still a long way for her to go to become known internationally, basically. I feel like people expect she could release a single tomorrow and she'd blow up.
She is not even on Sunny's level.
