Phew, yesterday's 3.3 million update was just a fluke day, Earned It back over 4 million today with almost 4.2 million update

Forget huge radio hits and no1s without Universal/Island Def Jam. Rocnation is not a propel label.

This is so stupid. Obviously pop isn't going to be interested in playing BBHMM. Everyone with half a brain has said this his a sure fire urban/rhythmic #1, but not pop. Try waiting until she releases a decent pop song until you make claims like this.

So much for the Urban queen who wanted to force her single down on TOP 40's throat

I remember Adele's Skyfall, which came when she was at her peak on Pop, also having a deal on its first day and only peaking at #37 or #38 on Pop.
I think a Pop single is coming soon, anyway.

Then why have a Top 40 deal then? It makes you seem desperate...

I am not trying to sound like an arrogant a--hole, but I tried to tell so many people in that thread last night BBHMM was far from a sure thing on Pop, and it wasn't until the end I finally found some others who said I was right, and that Rihanna would need to release another song for Top 40, Hot AC, and AC. Like with her "Stay" era she'll probably wind up with both the Urban and the Pop crossovers on Rhythmic.
"Stay" could've been a hit at Urban, and the song probably would've hit #1 on the Hot 100 had her label worked it there. But ehe already had "Pour It Up" and "Love Song" going at Urban though (which had some Rhythmic play). Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "Stay" just about the only song ever to reach the Top 3 at Top 40, Hot AC, AC, and Rhythmic?

I knew charting that high at all four genres of the Pop Quadrant, which can diverge quite a bit, had to be a rarity. Thanks for the information.

That's why I proposed a Pop Genre Chart a while back. Maybe a Pop Airplay Chart, combining all four formats of the Pop Quadrant -- Top 40, Hot AC, AC, and Rhythmic -- (impressions based with that many formats) would at least be workable.

Rihanna does not need to release another song to HAC and AC. Her entire career she hasn't focused on those formats, so why all of a sudden does she need to? If she releases a single which can be played there, then great! If it doesn't then it's no big deal. The same applies with urban radio, Rihanna's singles don't always get played there. In her 10 year career, she's released dual singles only twice. TWICE. That's it. California King Bed/Man Down and Stay/Pour It Up. It's not a common thing for Rihanna to do, and I'm not saying she'll never do it again, but it's rare for her.
If Rihanna has to spend the rest of her career constantly having a single out on HAC and AC then she's going to turn into another version of Kelly Clarkson or Pink, which is not who she is, and I don't think that's what her fans who've been following her for years want.
And I'm not just saying this because I'm not a HAC/AC fan, it's just not logical for Rihanna to always have two singles out in my opinion. When FourFiveSeconds came out, it wasn't the kind of song I wanted from Rihanna, but instead of begging her to release a separate single for rhythmic and urban, I supported those songs being sent to those formats. Whilst FFS didn't do well on urban, I'm glad they sent that and non a proper urban song, as the little success it did get on urban helped FourFiveSeconds be more successful, and that's the same reason why I want BBHMM to continue on pop. It doesn't matter if it only peaks at #35 on pop or whatever, it's better than having a dual release. If 2 On by Tinashe can get #20 on pop Mediabase I think this can get top 40 at least.

By my calculations, on pop BBHMM lost 94% of its spins from the radio deal. If it continues to get about 50 spins on pop a day it should be at about 350 spins in the first week after the rolling effect.

2 On is much easier to accept on pop
BBHMM not so much
Rihanna is a pop staple...but i'd be surprised if it did make it top 20
