I wanted to stick with the 1 paragraph rule, as last time someone clocked the 4-6 examples rule when I used 7.

Anyway, I'll elaborate on how it inspired me.
When I'd first heard the song, I instantly fell in love with it. It'd run through my mind even when I wasn't listening to it, and I thought it was the catchiest thing in the world. Ever since then, I've wanted to be able to write something that catchy and enjoyable. That might not make it seem like a good reason, but since a lot of the songs I write are catchy and upbeat for that reason, and songwriting has become a big part of my life, that's how it inspired me.
Also, I was contemplating doing "Euphoria" by Loreen, but I just felt like if I did, either one of the judges on the panel would be like "You said in your Musicality challenge entry in Top Member that "Boy Like You" was your favorite song ever. Why did you not choose that?", or one of the contestants would. I didn't want to get clocked like that, either, so I decided to work with what I got.
I do consider "Boy Like You" my favorite song of all time, but I just knew it wouldn't be as easy to explain why as something like "Euphoria" would be.

I have never heard of this song before and I am a Kesha fan; I own Animal/Cannibal and Warrior physically. The song is cute, but I can understand why it remain unreleased from any of her discography. However, it means something to you despite the fact. “I don't really think it's up to the song to be littered with meaning to be meaningful, but rather, it's up to the listener to decide what makes a song special to them.” That is so true! It’s special to you because it makes you happy and inspires you to create songs that could one day inspire and make others happy as well.

I'm glad you agree! It always bothers me when people say music has no meaning anymore. I've always believed it's up to the person listening to decide what a song means to them, regardless of what the intended meaning of the song is supposed to be. It should be the same for any art form, really.

PS. Where's 'Get It Over With' on your last.fm chart there?

My former favorite song of all time, "Never Leave You (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)" is...honestly just as bad.

She really couldn't sing for **** and there's an infinite amount of love songs out there with similar themes. Also the instrumental is basic. I guess I just never attached myself to ballads like most people.
P.S. I haven't used that last.fm in a while, but I linked it just in case someone was to click the last.fm link in my sig and say "You don't even listen to your ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG?" because by that logic, my all-time favorite song would be "Good-night Kiss" by Jun Hyosung, and it wasn't even my favorite song last year.
P.P.S No.

I'll be honest, I cringed very hard when I saw that your favorite song of all time was one of drunk dollar sign Kesha Rose Sebert, I just can't fathom that idea. But at least now I have an idea of who I'm dealing with.
Now regarding the explanation itself, it was very...cute, but I think you could have gone a little bit more into details, after all it's your ultimate mega ultra favorite song of all time.

Like-wise for Gaga.
Anyway, I didn't want to write a whole auto-biography, but I'd already explained myself in Cupid's post. However, I feel like that's TL;DR so...oh well.

Like I said for H-I-M, I didn't want to break the ~1 paragraph rule. I'd explained it more when responding to Cupid, but the challenge is over now so no point really.
And yeah, I actually hate the "official" version of "Boy Like You". Charlee butchered that song.
