Yeah, well that's effectively a little bit different as they did change their sound but they also waited 3 years between
Spiceworld and
Forever and Geri was a HUGE part of the SG (almost like a spokersperson, which Zayn is not at all).
The thing is, I don't see it working out for them as a 4-piece band. They will make another album because they have a contract and all is planned by Simon Cowell, while the SG had already fired their manager Simon Fuller and both Victoria and Mel B were pregnant at the time, then the others tried some solo projects, it was a lot less "calculated" in a way.
