Did you watch Freak Show? It was missing so many horror elements, so many story lines were more drama, rather then horror. So it wouldn't be a first for the series, to add something for a dramatic reason, rather then a horror element.

The bearded lady having some kidney issue, being a drunk.

So many storylines are field with drama rather then horror..

This is exactly why some people think Freak Show is the worst season of the series. I don't think Ryan would make the same mistake twice in a row.

And a vampire is completely OUT. Ryan said he'd never touch on that, and that would truly **** up the show considering there's already plenty of vampire fan-appeasing options out there. Gaga is nt going to make hints on the show. It's not something that the cast does, and Ryan wouldn't allow that ****. He does everything himself.

And the top hat clue was NOT implying Gaga would play a male. It was already explained-- Top Hat is a film set in a hotel, which was a hint regarding the setting of the season, and the song Cheek to Cheek was used in the film, which was a hint to the Gaga/Tony album, alluding Gaga would be on the show. By far the most arcane and strange clue he's ever used, but there's that.

Every season is based on drama that leads up to horror. It's not horror in the sense of horror movies where it's just death and gore all over the place. Have you seen Murder House? The entire show was more of a drama than anything else. Every horror element in the entirety of the show has been fleeting, but at least semi-satisfying. It's primarily a drama show, even if its horror moments are what define it.
