I wasn't joking and I can guarantee you that fat tissue doesn't help your air capacity in the slightest, just the contrary actually.

Well not fat tissue, but chest capacity does increase resonance. Obviously fat tissue would weigh heavier on you, but most of the bigger singers have already adjusted to that so to them there's not much of a vast difference.
