When will BS pass 300,000 copies in Australia and Canada? I thought they'll eat BS up with all the hype it caused. Did it plummet there suddenly after Christmas just like in the US?

Blank Space was a fad. None remembers the song.

ARIA Albums Charts:
3. Taylor Swift - 1989: 3,350 (Total: 300,080)
7. Ed Sheeran - X: 3,050 (Total: 322,140)
Finally cracking 300k in Australia
Still 22k behind X. But 1989 still have a lot of potential singles to be released

with those figures I wonder how Pink always manages to get diamond, I mean 1989 is still 400k away from it after spending 9 weeks at 1 and the sales are abysmal (4k per week)

Hopefully Style follows the pattern of #6-peaking songs like Breakaway and I'm Yours - those songs that are still highly remembered and sung through the years.

The Truth About Love doesn't go diamond there (8xP maybe). And 2012 still have a good climate sales. It just beginning of 2014, the music industry declining harder than normal and surely streaming the main factor instead of piracy.

Red is BY FAR Taylor's worst album. The inconsistency, chaotic music structure, tragic production of the title song, incredibly weak track called SBT. Literally the lowest part of Taylor's discography. I cant even imagine somewhere there are people able to listen to it for almost 5 minutes and not fall asleep.
Theres literally nothing spectacular on Red. She has better ballads on Speak Now and better pop songs on 1989 whereas Red has the lowest lows.
To sum up: great pop tracks, beautiful ATW, tragic country tracks, 0/10 deluxe tracks, unbelievably TRAGIC ballad SBT.
Speak Now and 1989 are Taylor's best albums with Speak Now slightly winning (1989 ballads ruined the whole thing)

Maybe you're right OnlyMan
her debut sounds very weak, but it's her first appearance so I can tolerate it
but not at Red
it's like she's using the similar formula with Speak Now
For me, I can pick 6-7 favorite songs from RED, but after they're taken, the album turns into cheap recycled song, like Red sounds like Sparks Fly's sister, Stay Stay Stay is like the Disney's version of Mean, EHC is an anticipated collab, but all we got is basic acoustic song, and not to mention Red's deluxe tracks are worst among her last 4 eras
But still those 7 tracks lift Red's overall quality

This is my perfect Red tracklist:
01. State of Grace
02. Treacherous
03. I Knew You Were Trouble
04. All Too Well
05. 22
06. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
07. Holy Ground
08. Starlight
09. Begin Again
People in this base tend to judge the album by the songs they love. All Too Well and Treacherous influenced them so much they cannot see the flaws now.

No.
I do agree however, with the assessment that it has some of weakest tracks today(EHC, TLT), but the highs sort of balance the alber out.
Ir's still above the mixtape and fealess
