In the US for an album to be Diamond (10x Platinum, 10M copies) it needs to be bought by 3,13% of the total population; in the UK for an album to be 10x Platinum (3M copies) it need to be bought by 4,69% of the total population.
So the certification level in the UK is higher and yet it's easier to get an certification in the UK since more people buy alberms.
