There was literally no promo whatsoever for Sweet Talk. If you look at other songs from Jess Mauboy, Nathaniel and Guy, you can see that the songs that did get certifications generally had TV promo:

Jess Mauboy - Pop A Bottle (X-Factor Performance)
Jess Mauboy - Never Be The Same Again ('Revenge' Commercial Ad)
Jess Mauboy - Cant I Get A Moment (X-Factor Performance)

Nathaniel - You (X-Factor Performance)
Nathaniel - Live Louder (X-Factor Performance)

Guy- Come Home With Me (X-Factor Performance)
Guy - Mama Ain't Proud (X-Factor Performance)

It's a shame really because Sweet Talk is such a good song and had an equally amazing video and yet it didn't get any promo whatsoever. In my opinion, Sammi should've gotten another TV slot on X-Factor last year. Ironically though, the Youtube view count for Sweet Talk (690K) is actually higher than the view counts for some of the above list of songs. For example, "Can I Get a Moment" only has 662K views.

I suppose the music industry here is just quite tough in Australia. If you don't have a TV performance, it's almost impossible for a song to take off. For example, if you look at the songs released by Jess Mauboy that didn't have TV promotion, none of them got a certification - "Beautiful" (ARIA Peak::46) and "Day Before I Met You" (ARIA Peak: 41).

It peaked at #1 on my playlist. Shame. I doubt we're getting that album. "Sweet Talk" was supposed to be THE single, and the album was supposed to follow in Q1 2015, but now Q1 2015 is over, so it looks like it's been pushed back AGAIN because the song didn't go anywhere...

It's really frustrating at this point. When I discovered Samantha back in late 2012, I didn't expect THREE years go by without an album out.

At this point, I kind of wish Samantha got eliminated instead of winning X Factor. It's such a double-edged sword right now but to think that NATHANIEL had a higher charting single than her is kind of embarrassing considering he placed lower than her.

This should of smashed!! This song is amazing, the production, the lyrics and the vocals are pop perfection! Samantha is so underrated, she deserves better!
