How can you be gay and religious though? (unless youre hindu, or Sikh, or a Buddhist)
It's one thing to believe in God, but to believe in a Christian God, or whatever religion specific God?

I went to a Catholic High School. It felt really cult-ish (full of Italians+ they were all Opus Dei) and they made us study the Catechism by force.
