When I was trying to think of some titles a while back i thought of "am I just a #27 to you", I was pretty damn close actually. This one did do better than I expected: I thought it would be dragged because it's often overlooked, but it's done quite well.
I love how she uses her voice in a lot of different ways, and the production is great of course.
Moving on… because I know I won't win this argument here.
What do you all think of 2015's female releases thus far?
I've been impressed by Jessica Pratt and Natalie Prass, and I'm eagerly awaiting Courtney Barnett at the end of this month. (Also Marina, although I feel she is in a different category)..
I used to LOVE everything from this album but lately I find it boring to listen to some of the songs (this one included).
Maybe the novelty has worn off? Maybe its not as timeless as I thought.
I felt like that towards last year, but after not listening for a while I love it again now. The one that's worn off on me is probably Hours. I never liked Closer or Preface.
Numbers is very good.
(This is the only album of hers that I've heard so it could change ofc)
