I always saw it as completely comedy. It was a parody of a bunch of horror films. Good horror-comedy was the majority of AHS: Coven, since it had horror elements and camp moments without being too bad. But I'm really hoping for great things with this one. Ryan's shows are always great in the first few seasons.
She's far from it actually. If you check out her films sans AHS you'd see that.

She played a lot more wholesome roles in her earlier years, but I'm assuming that was before your time. I get that you prefer her playing more bitchy roles so that you always have an avi for your online persona, though.
I am so excited for this! I can't help think that Ariana and Nick are gonna be characters that are killed off since they're only labeled as 'recurring'.
There were maybe one or TWO weak moments in Coven, but she was fantastic. Freak Show was where her acting was a disaster, but everything about that season was a disaster, too.
