If you read the article correctly, they are saying they have 3 great singles that will be released.
Not one this month, the 2nd the next month and the third in May or something.

THey are essentially using these 3 singles to keep her on the charts, promote the show which will hopefully increase turnout while giving her the time to focus on making a great album.

If they are not tricking us, I think these singles will have normal 3 month runs and then she can focus on her new album without pressure

To me, they believe and feel confident in 3 songs they will release while giving her the freedom to create a great album on her terms.

The songs will keep her relevant on the charts and build up anticipation and also entice people to come to the show if they need a hit to sway them (i.e. fickle and bandwagon fans).

Why would she do a photoshoot & an interview if nothing was coming.

If nothing is coming, the interview was pointless because they didn't tell us Vegas was being extended and they didn't tell us there was an album coming.

A single is definitely coming soon, they're just throwing us off.

I wouldn't mind this approach as long as the few great singles larry claims are actually great singles.

I too feel as though they could possibly be throwing us off but I also like the idea of having three singles to serve as added incentive for Vegas since they were aiming for Britney Jean to do that (promote vegas) and we all know how that ended up.

So they need 3 singles to fill the void of the failure that is britney jean.

I would like the 3 singles to be uptempo songs that obviously fit in the vegas show.

But she has put out 3 hit songs in a row so that is possible.

The Iggy collab just sounds so... ugh..... none of her material is decent and it certainly isn't worthy of being included on a Britney Spears song. 1) I don't think her team would waste a Billboard interview to say that no new music is coming. Billboard was also doing the most with emphasizing that a new album isn't coming. Plus, the meltdowns that all of you are having are very reminiscent of the meltdowns that the Hive was having just before BEYONCÉ was released. I wouldn't be surprised if they used this interview to trick us into thinking new music isn't coming so that they could drop something to "surprise" us.

Yep, and Femme Fatale was rushed but the material was still really great. I'd rather a rushed album with quality songs than an album with awful material that comes after a long break (like the break between FF and BJ was almost 3 years...) if she's not taking this album seriously and she's fine with a BJ 2.0 (that insider said Britney was happy with the album, although i don't believe him to be very reliable) then she can keep it. If she's not passionate about creating music any more but she's still going to put out singles and albums, I'd rather they be quality ones

1) "Albums aren't that important for us because Britney can't sell them anymore."
2) "Albums aren't that important because the industry is moving back to single releases like what modern music was originally founded on."

Either way, it could potentially be the start of a new trend. If they turn it into a marketing move that is profitable, more artists might follow suit. Maybe releasing EPs with 4-5 songs once a year? I dunno.

Well beyonce didnt herself confirmed that she was taking the album slowly...actually the other way around..britney herself n her manager said that they r taking things slowly..so just dont expect an album out of nowhere...

Ep is stil an album there is no difference if there r 4 or 11 songs....they clearly said that they will only release singles..n when the time come they will drop the album

It would be cool if she made it a huge trend. Poor others that release their music in innovative ways but nobody copies

What trend, hunties? Every second generic artist does the singles thing. Take Calvin Harris for example. He'll release single after single, radio eats that up and when you think he's over, he'll release an album full of last year's summer radio hits. I'm sorry but i'm not feeling this whole singles thing.

I admire your efforts can you try to keep people like Flo rida pitbull calvin and compare them against artists that have sold albums

Even album sellers are experiencing a decline without stunts and such.

That's the nature.

that said, with streaming and other things singles are alot more important now than ever before.


Which is why I always wanted britney and company to break the traditional 4 singles deal.
