I always wonder what makes such books "American classics" when they're actually just I was so pissed by the outcome of Romeo & Juliet. I was like, "I waited all my life to read this MESS?!??"
If Mice and Men is so sad though
I'm praying I'm not forced to read The Great Gatsby because I remember a friend of mine said it was good and I didn't even understand the first page
I had to watch that 90's version of Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio and I hated it so much I hate when people act like you HAVE to like something just because it's a "classic" and that's their only defense as to why it's good "well it's a classic" well that doesn't really mean jack **** now does it

Have you read Joy Luck Club? This is like the first time I've ever liked an assigned book
Charlie Gordon, a mentally retarded thirty-two-year-old man, is chosen by a team of scientists to undergo an experimental surgery designed to boost his intelligence. Alice Kinnian, Charlie’s teacher at the Beekman College Center for Retarded Adults, has recommended Charlie for the experiment because of his exceptional eagerness to learn. The directors of the experiment, Dr. Strauss and Professor Nemur, ask Charlie to keep a journal. The entire narrative of Flowers for Algernon is composed of the “progress reports” that Charlie writes.
I think I read this in like 6th or 7th grade cause that title sounds so familiar and I kinda remember this messy storyline
One of my best friends brother just called me and told me that my friend has passed away. I can't handle this right now. I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack. This just isn't fair.

Why do whites keep pulling out the dictionary definition of racism when it was written by whites, and we all know that white history is based on the genocide and enslavement of minority races! Whites don't have to ever think about racism, only when more educated people of colour call them out on their nonchalant ignorance. READ about it whites!
Someone posted a pic on instagram of themselves with a neck-brace on in a hospital bed, they had gotten into a car accident I guess. The caption said "feeling well, RIP to my baby girl Lana" I felt so badd, I thought he lost his mom, or something. But then realized he was talking about his car I'm pissed.
