was made because someone abused the last few GIF threads made in the past. I honestly don't know why the GIF threads always close down, but I don't see why

GIFs are such an integral part of the ATRL experience and I don't see why we can't have a thread celebrating them. If someone breaks a rule by posting explicit or inappropriate gifs can't we just report them like always? Banning the thread altogether doesn't seem like a sufficient answer to me.

There are a handful of times when a truly funny gif breaks-out into popularity on ATRL that isn't offensive or inappropriate and this is one of them. It's not a big deal but I am curious as to why there isn't a "Funny Gif Thread" when several "AVIs Threads" exist. BEFORE the revamped Lounge Rules were made the GIF threads were always shut down too
