Okay, then why the **** are you in this thread talking about trans people and what is and what's not transprejudice? You clearly have no knowledge of trans people and you've clearly never even met one in real life. You're the literal definition of a transphobe.
|
So you can only post one article? Is Time the universal standard of what words can be considered slurs or not?

What else would you call the (irrational) hate for trans men and women?

A solution that would make everybody happy would be to enable locker rooms to have an ID scanned entry, so only identifying women and men can enter their respective locker rooms.

Also at the very least, your grammar is off when you say transgendered. Transgender is a NOUN, never a verb. You never just happen to become transgender. It's the same as saying "He is homosexualed" ..a.are you saying that's not a word? #atrl

Me throwing ad hominems? You think you didn't do that when you called me a bigot yet you didn't try to see the issue from my perspective?
At least you got the part about my grammar correct.

The member comparing a man in a wig and a transgender person, as if it was that easy to convince someone that you aren't a sexual predator. Did you also forget that trans women are more prone to be victims of sexual harrasment?

In theory? Yeah, they could. But how many recorded cases are there of that actually happening?
It's like saying that we should suspect all clowns of being serial killers because of John Wayne Gacy.

So after reading the article, a breakdown of events:
-Woman A comes across Woman B (trans woman)
-Woman A complains about Woman B to front desk, is told Woman B identifies as a woman
-Woman A then complains to corporate offices, is told they will not make trans woman stop using the female room, that the gym is a "no judgement zone"
-Woman A then began to gossip about Woman B and tell everyone she was a "man"
-The gym then asks her to stop doing that, and she says no
-Woman A's membership was then taken away.
How is the unfair? How is this wrong? She was being an asshole, and got treated like one.

If you just let anyone without the proper documents use any room they wish, the risk can increase.

I actually didn't engage in ad hominem because I wasn't making an argument. I was just letting you know that you come of as really really bigoted! You, on the other hand, were trying to make an argument.
Anyways, I already know what the bigots perspective is, yours isn't too different. Yet you claim I didn't try to see it from your side?

Trent W, sis, the GP does know about trans people thanks to persons like Laverne Cox, Carmen Carrera and Janet Mock.
Try again

She was an idiot (the woman who was complaining/prejudice/an asshole)
As a woman too, I would be so disappointed if I witnessed this in person. People are so uneducated when it comes the most ~global~ situations its appalling. If she identifies as a woman and has transitioned, she is a woman - like even the first statement alone explains that.. What is so hard to understand? The need to even have to get into specifics in general is annoying.. The other woman shouldn't have to constantly explain herself just because some people are idiots. Anyway, glad the gym cancelled the membership. I hope in the future this will be a universal rule to prevent any further discrimination towards any person. People are gross. (Sorry if I misused any term/word please tell me if I did, and if I did - I'm so sorry~)

I'm bigoted yet I support LGBT rights.
And before you say I don't because I didn't agree with the gyms decision of cancelling the membership, I never said I was against trans people using their designated rooms. I pointed the out fact that the lady had a reason to be concerned.

Wow. What a bitch. Glad she got kicked out.
Nice to see most of ATRL agree on something for a change.

But didn't the trans woman in this situation show her papers to gym staff?
